Privacy Policy


I place a lot of value on your privacy. I am committed to collecting, using and disclosing personal information responsibly and only to the extent necessary for the services I provide. I try to be as open and transparent as I can regarding how I handle personal information.

Each time a visitor comes to my webpage, I collect some information to improve the overall quality of my site. I collect the visitor's domain name (e.g., whether the user is logged on from ibm.com or yale.edu), referral data (e.g., I record the address of the last URL a user visited prior to clicking through to my web page), and browser and platform type (e.g., a Netscape browser on a Macintosh platform).

I do not share any of this information with any third parties. I do not set any cookies. I do not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies.

If you supply me with your phone number, email address or postal address, you will only receive the information for which you provided me with this information. Any personal information you provide will be held in confidence and not be communicated, directly or indirectly, to a third party without your informed and written consent, except where required by law.

If you are not a my client, any email or other internet-based correspondence such as instant messaging or online forms will be deleted within one month of your last contact with me, or sooner upon your request. Notes from any telephone or personal conversations will also be destroyed within one month of your last contact with me, or sooner upon your request.

Before becoming my client, you will be required to provide informed consent by signing a consent to service form that contains detailed information about my policies with regards to confidentiality and record keeping. No file will be opened in your name before you provide this consent.

Once you become a client, I am required to keep your client file for ten years following your last contact, or if you were less than eighteen years of age at the time of your last contact, for ten years following the day you would have become eighteen.

Paper information is stored either under supervision or secured in a locked filing cabinet in a locked office. Electronic hardware is either under supervision or secured in a locked or restricted area at all times. In addition, passwords are used on computers.

I destroy paper files containing personal information by shredding. I destroy electronic information by deleting it and, when the hardware is discarded, I ensure that the hard drive is physically destroyed.
