Mindfulness-Based Counselling & Therapy
I offer individual counselling and therapy that combines mindfulness with traditional counselling and therapy methods, allowing you to experience the benefits of both mindfulness and psychotherapy. I don't currently offer mindfulness-based stress reduction or mindfulness-based cognitive therapy groups.
If you already have experience with mindfulness, we can incorporate your mindfulness practice into our work together in ways that can help you deal with whatever issues have brought you to therapy. If you have never practiced mindfulness, I can teach you ways to become more mindful and help you realize the benefits of mindfulness.
I draw upon established mindfulness-based approaches to therapy including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). (Please Note: I am unable to provide Dialectical Behaviour Therapy for people with borderline personality disorder.)
I do not offer Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction or Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy groups; however, if you've participated in an MBSR or MBCT group in the past, I can help you reconnect with what you learned in the group and apply mindfulness to deal with whatever issues you're currently facing in your life.
